  2. Vices when you think about Dead Poetic's new album, Vices, think classic rock n' roll or the '90s alt-rock nation. Vices owes more to Stone Temple Pilots and Pearl Jam than whichever "scene" bands have skipped the VFW Halls and gone straight to the mainstream this week. Vices /5(15).

  4. General CommentI think this song is about someone who really trusted someone and really looked up to this person like an idol. verse 1 The so called idol stabbed the person that looked up to him in the back and really let him down. It's taking a long time for the person to get over their idol screwing up. It's like a stab that is taking a long time to heal.
  5. Songs like "Narcotic" and "Lioness" are more on the edgier side, while "In Coma" tends more to the "emo-esque" side. The band said themselves that they don't consider their music any one genre and, true to their word, Dead Poetic can only be compared with Dead Poetic. Musically, "Vices" is a fantastic mixture of power and melody/5(15).

  8. The low-slung wallop of Dead Poetic's third album will have critics retiring the "screamo" epithet vis-a-vis this band, and may even inspire younger fans to download some Dream Theater or Sepultura. Maintaining the intensity of their previous releases, VICES is also melodic, layered, and steeped in both nu- and old-school-metal nelabarmellkirikus.xyzinfo: $
